About Us

Why Blake's Buddies Exists

Blake’s Buddies Rescue Network was born from a painful realization: there are entire shelters and counties where dogs are dying simply because no one knows they’re there.

Someone needed to bridge that gap.

That’s what we do. We build relationships with the shelters others overlook. We check the lists no one else is checking. We create visibility that saves lives. From the moment we identify a dog in need to the day they’re adopted into their forever home, we’re there—coordinating transport, securing foster care, providing medical treatment, and making sure their story gets told.

We started small, but we’ve never stopped showing up.

Our Mission

Blake’s Buddies Rescue Network exists for the dogs who are overlooked unseen and running out of time. We step in when rescues are full when systems are overwhelmed and when a dog would otherwise be left behind even though help is possible.

Our mission is rooted in showing up. Showing up for dogs in counties who have little to no visibility and no one advocating just for them. Through fostering advocacy and partnership we work to give each dog something every life deserves a fair chance and a future filled with love.

Our Vision

We envision a world where no dog is forgotten simply because their shelter is difficult to navigate or lacking resources. A world where every dog is seen and has a chance to be saved.

Our vision is built on hope exhaustion commitment and love. We believe that visibility saves lives and that one person willing to speak up can change everything. We dream of a future where dogs once hidden are finally chosen and where standing in the gap becomes the rule not the exception.

How We Work

We find dogs in underserved counties whose time is almost up—not because they aren’t special, but because they’re invisible.
We coordinate with shelters, volunteers, and transport teams to create pathways where none existed before.

Through our Atlanta network, we provide medical care, behavioral support, and forever homes—seeing every rescue through to a happy ending.

Meet Our Leadership

Veronica Davis, CEO & Founder

Veronica founded Blake’s Buddies Rescue Network with a simple belief: every dog deserves an advocate, especially those running out of time in places no one is looking.

Veronica brings both compassion and strategic thinking to rescue work. She understands that saving dogs isn’t just about heart—it requires coordination, transparency, and showing up when it matters most.

Under her leadership, Blake’s Buddies has built a network of foster families, shelter partnerships, and dedicated volunteers across 48 states, all united by one mission: to be the voice for dogs who would otherwise be forgotten.

We Can't Do This Alone. And We Don't Want To.

Every rescue is a team effort. When you join us, you become the reason a forgotten dog finally gets their chance.
